USB problem

I have had some power problems with usb devices on my RIVE. For example, all my usb devices turn off when Windows has almost finished booting and it may take up to 1-2 minutes until they start working on desktop. I haven't really understood the options in the APM and usb config sections so I'd like to know what setting I should change to make them not turn off, because I'm sure it's in the MB, because all the lights go out aswell.

That is not how it should be.

I see that your system is quite hectically overclocked. Do you have the same issue if you are at full system defaults. Save your OC profile and than do a F5 default and enter to save.

Reboot and see if the strange issue remains, and what USB devices do you have connected to your system?

It is quite random. Even with overclocks it sometimes doesn't happen at all. All devices work as they should in UEFI etc but the power cuts off when the windows is almost completely loaded and it may take up to 1 min before they start working. I'm almost sure it happened with stocks aswell, atleast with stock cpu clock, but with ram at 2400, which is it's rated frequency.

I have connected USB mouse and keyboard without their own drivers, and a headset.

What model USB keyboard, some are powered keyboards with their own hubs. I think it is a USB device that is taking the extra time. Try without your headset and see if that speeds the boot time up.

Could be, I'll check it soon. This happends to my friend aswell and he has MVG. The usb devices actually get power back almost immediately after I get into windows but it takes time for Windows to recognize them.

Could there be something in windows like a driver or something, because it takes annoyingly long until windows recognizes my usb devices. The power cuts off for 2-3 seconds when windows gets into desktop, but sometimes I have to wait until I can move my mouse or use my keyboard.

EDIT: It actually doesn't happen if I only have my mouse and keyboard connected. Thanks Hivizman, your knowledge is always valuable 🙂 .
