ASUS' ROG presentation here at Computex wasn't all meaty graphic powerhouses -- it also displayed a new mechanical keyboard for discerning gamers, albeit underneath a piece of black cloth. We were told that the temporarily named "Armor Keyboard" wasn't quite ready to show off its design just yet, but when it comes out towards the end of Q3 this year it will, surprisingly, boast the title of ASUS' first in-house-designed mechanical gaming keyboard. As you'd expect, this backlit device will feature "ultra-responsive" mechanical key switches, as well as dedicated media and programmable hot keys located along the periphery. We'll be keeping an eye out for more information about it later this year, naturally.

With the ROG keyboard, I would like to see an aluminum plate in the base of the construction for better rigidity and durability, and RGB, per-key, switchable on/off capabilities. As far as cherry color options for the key switches, I would have to say that green or clear would be a nice change of pace. Whichever key switch type chosen, I would like the switch to have a nice balance between tactile responsive typing and lowest actuation force possible for quick execution.

Thank you ROGteam for listening to your community for input on upcoming products. You give people what they want and not what you THINK we want!

Hey Marshall

I'd like the option of the red switch and the option of diffrent brightness levels backlit key board, and backlit keys, red backlight but maybe option to change, USB 3.0 gold connectors sleeved cable, just my 2cents.:)
It can never be to quick.

I don't know if it's already been suggested, but having a "GO" button on the keyboard would be handy, if it's possible.

I personally think it would be cool if there were an escape key

I wonder what sort of heat sink lube you'd use to overclock that.

GoGo and ByeBye buttons.

GoGo dispenses lube and flips open to reveal a 9cm hole...

ByeBye closes it all and minimizes all windows.
