They Listened to US!!!! ROG's 1st Mechanical Keyboard

ASUS' ROG presentation here at Computex wasn't all meaty graphic powerhouses -- it also displayed a new mechanical keyboard for discerning gamers, albeit underneath a piece of black cloth. We were told that the temporarily named "Armor Keyboard" wasn't quite ready to show off its design just yet, but when it comes out towards the end of Q3 this year it will, surprisingly, boast the title of ASUS' first in-house-designed mechanical gaming keyboard. As you'd expect, this backlit device will feature "ultra-responsive" mechanical key switches, as well as dedicated media and programmable hot keys located along the periphery. We'll be keeping an eye out for more information about it later this year, naturally.

Yep that's it, though I am a little disappointed. I'd hoped to see it with RGB backlighting, not just red....shame really, they've just pushed a lot of potential owners away by this move.

Yep....I've been waiting foe a new keyboard but seems corsair multicolored wins? Shame...

Don't forget mate, Corsair got the deal with Cherry for their new MX RGB keys. If I can make my Alienware TactX Keyboard last long enough, i'll wait and see if ROG brings a new one out with the Cherry MX RGB keys next year....provided it won't be teased next year and released the year after lol

- don't rush on first one ... a love anything from ROG, but wait until some revision, or when ROG give us few models, than choose

- personally, i've just ordered Corsair Vengeance K70 black with red cherry mx and that is what is checked out to be very good, together with Corsair Raptor M45 (for bundle)

- of course, i'll be a buyer of ROG mechanical keyboard but not of very first one, i'll let some time to go by and wait everything to settle ... and of course i'll wait for some very good ROG mice, since this one that ROG offers doesn't suit my hand and my eyes

I ordered Vengence today too.. K70 with red leds and blue switches. I am going to order http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0084FVWO6/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=... instead of Corsair's M65/M45.
