The Classic Basic ASIC thread

Hey! No forum is complete without an ASIC wild speculation thread. However this is ROG so we like facts.

Can you guys list up your GPU, "ASIC quality" and your max stable gaming or benching OC?

In this format please:

GPU / ASIC / Standard reference clock for that chip*/ max-clock@XVolts / Cooling

* Want standard reference clock not base clock of factory OCd card...want to see how high above reference certain ASIC will go.
For example Matrix Platinum R9 290X has base clock of 1050 but I'm not listing that want base clock for this chip which is 1000

maybe with enough listings we'll slowly get an idea of whether this metric means anything at all...

R9 290X Matrix Platinum / 76% / 1000 / 1170@1.3V / AIR

Asus GTX 780 Ti / 73.2% / 876 / 1300@1.2V / H2O

ASIC? I can post numbers but what number is it? Been tweaking now for 3 weeks and anything that help me get better numbers is interesting:-)
It started with a VIC-20... and now it is. Maximus Formula VI Intel 4770K 4.6GHz ASUS GTX780Ti 3GB Corsair Platinum Dominator 16GB 2400MHz Raid Express 240GB Samsung EVO 512 GB SSD Corsair 900D EK watercooling Corsair RM1000 ASUS PB278Q

Open GPU-Z. Right click on the title bar and you'll see the Read ASIC Quality option.

Yep right click top bar of open GPUz window and you'll see option to see this number...

There is lots of bad info or half informed guesses on the net about this number so some figures would be nice...

Thanks MatsGlobetrotter...added to the, hopefully, growing list....

Seems there was no change in the ASIC no matter what i did to the GPU.

No, the ASIC number is fixed for your chip...it's not something you change. It is supposed to be related to leakage of the chip etc. but there is so much half informed stuff on the net...if there is enough data we might get a slight idea if it relates to OCs
