I need a little help. Oldcomer's and I have been battling it out in the team comp. 2014 RB. we took it from 114000 - 117000 + to 121000 - 122000 i think I am @ my limit @ 121251. I think I could beat him if I could polish my memory setting. I have two kits corsair dom gt 2133 that I managed to get running @ 2400 10-11-12-27 I also have a tridentx kit that I cant get to do anything better than 2400. I dont have the kit numbers at the moment but can provide them if needed. I have a nice 3930K doing RB @ 5352 MHz 1.488v she wont do 55 @ any voltage. Your suggestion are welcome I have a day or to left. thx

Where is menthol with the 5960X and 4xGTX980? He'll get like +130k at least 😄
Do you benefit from quad channel? The GIMP test doesn't need quad, I even got really good scores in single channel, it's all about tight timings. I would lend you my 4 PCS sticks if you didn't live millions of miles away. You could use rc tweakit and bump the OC in the GIMP test and then tune down for the encoding.
Check the numbers on your TridentX, if they're like mine, 2400Mhz CL9
Where it says 13141, then 5000. What does your kit say? If it says 2500 it should be samsung hch9 D'rev. But SB-E wont do any more then 2400Mhz anyways.
You're already pushing that ram like crazy, meankeys, and the CPU too. A Sandy isn't likely to go over 2400 in any case. RB likes efficiency in the multithreaded stages anyway.
Are the rams chilled? If they're running cool, perhaps you can adjust refresh - shorter tRFC and/or more extreme longer refresh period tREF. DRAMs need more frequent refresh when hot, and conversely less frequent when cooler. I don't know enough yet to quantify it for you, but it might be a direction to try.
Otherwise, tRAS is a little higher than I've seen at 2400. Perhaps it can be stepped down a few more counts.
I put this screenshot up for Whitepaw a few months ago. It's how I set my 32GB mixed kit. Perhaps some of it applies.

I am going to try again tonight. I have been running the corsair @ 2436 10-11-12-27 --1 I will try to tighten the timings up a bit but will need to lower the freq. I basically run the gimp @ 5484 and the other tests @ 5352 to 5367 yeilds 121000+ This board is an RMA'd unit and it will not for some reason not run right at the 125 strap. like if I set the 125 strap and the muti at 43 It should be or give me a freq of 53.75 but it boot @ like 4680 something and adjusting the muti further it will not increase the freq? Then you got samsung hyk0 ic's. Not as good as hch9 d rev but mine run just fine @2666 10-12-12-28, cl9 @2666 is possible but that takes lots of vdimm.
I've had them up to just short of 3000mhz on the pentium AE.
For samsung ic, you can lower TRAS quite a bit, like 10-11-11-24, and tWCL should run fine @6. Perhaps try some of the samsung preset ram profiles in bios?
RIVBE with SB-E, with IV-E you probably wouldn't have that strap issue
aw your right. with my 4930K I was able to play in the 125 strap area. I am waiting for a new one from intel. Its worth the warranty If they send this one that would make three total that I fried. one 3770K and two 4930K's

At those lofty scores, a little increase can take a lot of headscratching. You're already doing more than I thought of with shifting speed for GIMP. Sorry I don't have any more for you.
