Hello to the community. I've a strange and not usual problem with a 128gb kit of G.skill Ripjaws V F4-3000c14q2-128GVKD and my Asus X99 Deluxe 2 mainboard.
At first i used an Asus Deluxe U/3.1 board and i had the same issue....
The problem is this....if i put in Auto settings (CPU CORE RATIO, BLCK Frequency and DRAM Frequency Ratio) in AI TWEAKER menu of my bios, and if i set DRAM Frequency to AUTO, when i boot windows or linux i hear a noise on the mainboard. This noise is like an electrical interference, a buzzing. Same issue is if i set manual DRAM Frequency to 2133 (i don't need to overclock my system to an higher frequency!).
But if i set DRAM at 2400 i've no more noise. At the beginning i thought it was a problem of my mainboard so i changed with a new one and the issue it's the same. So it depends from RAM frequency.
I use a Xeon 2699V4 cpu that's why i don't need to overclock but i would like to know why i've that noise if i put DRAM frequency param in AUTO or at lower frequency like 2133.
