SSD not visible after port change

Hi all-

I *think* I've determined a slow read/write problem with one of my Samsung drives and am testing to find out.

I've got two SSDs. One gets the advertised speeds thru the Magician performance test, and the other is 30% less. Looking at the HeroVI docs I see that the
two SATA ports farthest away from the memory are ASMedia with the rest being Intel. The slow(er) drive is plugged into the ASMedia port while the
faster one is in the Intel port.

Now, when I move the slow SSD over to the Intel side, it disappears, that is, it does not show in SATA Configuration in the BIOS or in Computer
Management. Any ideas as to why this drive is hooked to that ASMedia port?

Thanks!

Hook to intel ports. Shut machine down make sure all connectors are tight and restart. It should pick it up unless the sata port is disabled in bios somehow that you are trying to plug into

No Luck.

Plug that drive back into the ASMedia port, shows up fine. Weird.
