ROG Model G750JW Issues- Motherboard and Dead Battery in a Month's Use

I have used my ROG G750JW-DB71laptop for only a month and problems from the outset. Bought it from XOTICPC.com and had it modified (Windows 7 Pro) and some hardware upgrades such as to BluRay. Within a week it conked out and I had to pay $177 to ship it back to them via UPS. They had it for a week and had to send it to ASUS to get fixed. Note: XOTICPC has been very responsive to my e-mails but they do not appear to have the capability to resolve the issue. Took 5 full weeks to get it back and I understand that maybe the motherboard was replaced per XOTICPC.com: Yet ASUS makes it own motherboards. Got it back first week in June and then two weeks later battery died completely-will not charge and I get the message in the bottom tray to: Replace your battery. I did call ASUS to get an RMA and they want me to send everything back including the power brick and they will pay. Can ASUS really fix it permanently or do I have a lemon? If I send it back to ASUS tomorrow, I am very concerned it will be August before I get it back and I am concerned some other problem will arise. Anyone else with these problems? BTW, I have had Dell laptops, a Toshiba laptop and my wife has an HP one too-never any battery problems. Go figure!

Any help on the battery issue would be appreciated. A new battery costs about $70 per ebay.com.
