ROG Maximum VI Formula + ThunderboltEX II

So I fear I may have a 27" paperweight sitting on my desk. I purchased a thunderbolt display and quickly realized I couldn't just hook it up like every other monitor. Doing research, after the fact, I see that it requires the use of a ThunderboltEX II add-in card. This card's spec says that the board requires a TB_HEADER output, which I see at the bottom of the board. I also don't see the FORMULA listed in the list of supported boards, but I'm not sure how up-to-date that list is.

My question is, if I get the add-in card, can I use the Thunderbolt Display?

Drivers are needed for the add-in ports on the Apple display. Currently there are none for Windows operating systems.

Dou you guys know if I could do the same and use a iMac 2013 as a thunderbolt display? I know theres issues with "miniDisplay Ports" vs Thunderbolt ports, but if the Apple Thunderbolt display can take Thunderboly input only, then the ThunderboltEX2 should meet my requirements. I use a iMac for work, but want to add a gaming rig via thunderbolt, So i can just have the PC under my desk, and utilize the same 27 inch screen for each machine.

I tried using the bootcamp drivers provided by Apple. Would those not work? If it is just a PCIe passthrough then I thought that they would have worked. The drivers I used are here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1720

Also, I am seeing no driver errors in the Device Manager, so I'm not sure if it is even recognizing the extra ports on the display.

Could be a possibility. Maybe the display has firmware that's not recognized by Windows systems? I honestly don't know much about it. Are there Apple support forums for it?

Devdazed are you they guy who reviewed this device on newegg?
