Hi can anyone please help just bought the front panel and want to use my saved custom profiles . I have a nice 4.5ghz for every day use and a 5.1ghz for my benchmarks . So the question is can I setup the (front base) to use those custom profiles ?

Same here. I think it should be feasible, as you can read on the sixth paragraph of the conclusion in this review:

http://www.overclock3d.net/articles/misc_hardware/asus_rog_base_system_controller_review/1

The ROG Front Base allows for Overclocking within Windows. This takes us through the standard overclocking modes found in the Asus software and gives us two overclocking options for 4.2GHz and 4.4GHz which offer easy and safe ways to achieve a decent overclock, even if you don't know what you're doing. You can also set up custom profiles if you're wanting to get a higher overclock than the default values.

JJ says the same in this video (skip to 5:10): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBDKsmw3Fto

But I don't know if they tested it in the review and I see no one talking about this, so perhaps you can't do it at all. If that's the case, I won't buy the Front Base just for its looks.

here is another one saying the same thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJlu1FGCpcc (4.40 in) infact due to this video I bought the front panel they all say you can setup your own custom profile but as yet no one seems to know how ? plus there is no manual to download I even called asus and was told they dont deal with that sort of thing so here I am nice shinny lights but not doing what I want it to do I suppose its my fault for not doing more resurch

There is this manual here, but it doesn't say much: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/accessory/ROG_Front_Base/E8699_ROG_Front_Base.pdf

I left a comment in the PCDIY page of the Front Base (http://pcdiy.asus.com/2014/01/rog-front-base-the-ultimate-5-25-bay-accessory-ces-2014/#comment-2920), hopefully JJ will shed some light on this one. The preview text on that page says that "enthusiast overclockers can even customize their overclock and link it to the button by saving a profile in the UEFI", yet you and the other member don't seem to be able to do that, so let's see if JJ answers my question...

Bump 🙂 , I also have a ROG FBP and wish to know if it can support custom OC profile.

Looking at Strider's link to the pcdiy page UEFI profiles is the way?

49173

Will have to investigate this.

In bios I see ROG OC Panel H-Key Configure , only options there are:-

[BCLK Frequency]
[CPU Ratio]
[Load default]
[Save above settings]
[Load from profile]

So I'm guessing it won't use any custom voltage setting but just BLCK & CPU ratio.

If so then FBP won't use my custom configuration fully on voltages , etc.

Shame I was hoping it would use the other custom OC profile section.
