Hey guys, I currently have the following rig:
My motherboard's BIOS has been updated to version 1801 (latest version). I’d like to know the best BIOS settings for my setup in terms of optimal values.
Currently, if I keep the CPU set to Intel’s Default Extreme with MultiCore Enhancement: Enforce All Limits, I experience random BSODs. To stabilize the system, I used Intel's XTU to underclock the CPU’s P-Core Ratio to 55x (from 59x), which eliminated the BSODs.
Now, I want to achieve this stability through the BIOS instead of relying on software. I'm using ASUS Advanced OC Profile instead of Intel’s Default profile and have set Sync All Cores Ratio to 55x. While the system runs fine, the CPU underperforms, leading to lower performance in various applications.
Regarding RAM, I know I have a lot, but I want to achieve the best stable speeds possible. If I activate any XMP profile, the system fails to boot after restarting. When I leave everything on Auto but manually set the speed to 5200MHz, the system boots into Windows, but after a few hours, I get a BSOD. I have now reverted to default settings, and my RAM runs at 4200MHz.
Could someone guide me on CPU/RAM BIOS tweaking ? I want to get the most performance possible out of my rig while maintaining stability.
Thank you!
