Hi all Im currently waiting for the rest of my new build to arrive by mail so i can get it built !
I am currently writing to you on a trusty q6600 g0 p5wh deluxe ,4gb, msi gtx 750 ti,850 evo, thermaltake toughpower 750, mozart tx case.
my new build will be corsair c70, i74790k, seasonic ss660xp2,nhd15, kingston hyperx savage 2400 2x 8gb ,msi gtx750ti 2gb
I live in spain and i have a solarpowered house generating 1100 watts p/hr at mo.
I am very happy with my gpu, best efficiency for my needs:D

What i am wanting advice on, is the bios on the ranger vii. iam not familiar with new bios( ive seen on youtube videos) and it seems miles away from what im used to:D I no longer recognise the cpu bios settings options etc.. hehe
I have read on internet how modern boards auto oc settings .
I would like advice on what bios options i should enable/disable to keep my processor running at stock speeds, for cool running(hot summers) and for maximum energy efficiency. Will i be able to use ram at 2400mhz on stock ? I will possibly overclock in the future (more solar panels), but at the moment not..
the system upgrade is for playing Elder Scrolls online, so i chose the fastest stock cpu i could get.

Thanks greg

Hello greg12

With the bios at default settings your 4790k will get over volted some, you can lower the voltage to save on power. You can also use adaptive mode to throttle your cpu's speed and voltage when at idle.

You can run your ram at 2400MHz with the cpu at stock settings, just enable X.M.P. or set it manually.

If you need help when the time comes just start a thread and me or someone else will be glad to help you.
