then i installed crysis 2 and started playing i got a little in to the first scene in the submarine.
Then the pc froze and i lost signal to my monitor, i then i turned the pc off and rebooted .
when the pc rebooted a error message came up "overclocking failed"
even though i havent done any overclocking
i then updated the bios and enabled xmp profile.
i am currently able to run windows, but can play any games or do anything cpu og gpu intesive.
i have tried every ting i can think of.
Please help 😧

Any help at all would be very appreciated

Hey my friend I had hoped your problems would be over.

Could you look in the Windows event viewer and see what the cause of your PC fail was?
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

i checked the the event viewer
all the critical events where caused by som called "kernel-power"

Do you have any numbers or error?

I am going to guess what your error code was in the event viewer. Event ID 41 is a power state problem (usually a driver taking too long) but actually just indicates that an unexpected shut down happened.

yepp the code is 41

the driver you are talking about? is it the video card driver?
or any other driver?
if so could a simple driver update fix anything?

Well the only way to know which driver would be to have a full dump of your log.

But it might be worth while completely removing the older driver and doing a good clean up of any bits that get left behind. Then do a clean fresh VGA drivers install.

And no do not send me your dump log. 🙂 At least not yet.

This is can also be a RAM related error....:( I would really suggest trying some different RAM....

If you don't have other Ram but should ever wish to purchase, i highly recommend:

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226191

I'm Canadian hence the .ca ... If your in the states, www.newegg.com Search: Mushkin Black 8gb
"Did anyone else make it? ... Just Dust and Echoes"

i dumped the log and did a fresh install of the catalyst driver
it still freezes at the same point and its the kernel power again

sadly i only have this ram so i cant try another brand
and i live in norway, so very few web sites thats actually available

i am going to try to boot with only one dimm
and try to run the game hoping for the best
