Rampage IV extreme no Power on PCIE!!!

Hello,

ever since i upgraded my Bios to the latest firmware, i can no longer power on my pc remotely.

i upgraded to version

2105

i went into the power settings and made sure power on PCIE was enabled.

Nothing has changed in my Network adapter properties on windows.

When i power off my pc. The mother board light stays lit, but the Ethernet port is completely off.

It used to work just fine with the older bios. I used to be able to power on my pc remotely. now i cant.

does someone know the trick or extra setting i have to play with in my bios to get this working?

This is not something that I regularly do myself but consider this a free bump.

You could always revert back to the older BIOS, or use the BIOS selector switch to return to an older BIOS and make a note of the default settings that worked for you.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

thanks,
but reverting back to an older bios is out of the question.

My overclock is fully stable and i dont want to have to set everything up again.

Have you ever played with the Power on PCIE setting before?

There must be another setting that i have to enable for it to work, i just dont know what it is

Have used magic packets to to wake on lan but that is about it. I will get one of my mates who is more a LAN kind of guy to drop in and see what he can offer in this thread.

And the upside is I am going to learn something new.

Thanks for your help!

I know i have everything set correctly in my network adpater properties in windows. There must be something in the bios causing it to not work because the ethernet port lights don't stay on anymore once power is turn off.
