Rampage IV Black USB 3.0 Issues......

Hello Guys,

I just recently bought my Rampage IV black and everything works fine except for ALL USB 3.0 Ports.....
Front and Rear USB 3.0 are only working at 2.0 speed. All drivers are installed correctly and my USB 3 ready Stick & WD Passport is working just fine on my other PC with 3.0 Speed.

So as i said the newest Driver is installed successfully. USB 3.0 is enabled in the BIOS and the Ports as well as the Sticks are working.
( I say that because i don't think that all 8 USB 3.0 ports are Broken )

After installation it tells me that the installation process was sucessfully but in the ardware-manager i cant see the USB 3.0 Controller in the "USB Controller" section.
shouldn't there standing "Asmedia 104x USB3.0 Host Controller" ?

I have tried a new installation of the driver several times but it helped nothing, so if you guys have any ideas what the Problem could be please help me out.....

Could you please try different bios versions - use the USB bios flashback method and see if that resolves your issue.

I assume you are running Windows 8...

I'm running Win. 8.1 the Motherboard does support/recommend this OS.

I already made an BIOS update.......helped nothing 😞

I used the Latest driver from the Asus Support site for this board.

Any other ideas ???

Ok, i've tried 4 BIOS versions now......
Same problem.

Last resort - see if you can install a copy of Windows7 and if the USB3 ports work. If they do upgrade from Win7 to 8.1

OR

RMA the board.

Installing Win. 7 ?
I think im better off with an RMA of the motherboard 😉
I really don't think that messing around with the OS would help a lot.....
But anyway i'm very thankfull for your replys.

Basically what I was asking was test to see if it is a hardware issue, then they would not work with Win7 or if it was OS based.

Hey Bro !
now i finally know where the Problem is......
I spent the whole last night reading all the USB 3.0 Threads in different forums and found something.

It's the F***ing Ai Suite 3 witch is somehow interfering witch the USB 3.0 Host Controller under Windows 8.1
Anyway i uninstalled the Ai Suite 3 and everything worked fine. When i reinstalled the programs the Problems came back.

Where can i tell this issue to Asus so that the can kill the Software Bug ???
