Hi there, I had this problem with my previous PSU- Akasa powerMax 850 - 3.3v was ~3.28 resulting usb problems. So I recently bought brand new Corsair AX1500i. Now the problem going harder 3.3v is 3.26 and 5v is ~4.90. So weird.
My system:
MB: RAMPAGE III EXTREME - factory settings
CPU: I7 950
RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE 2x4 1600Mhz (runing 1066Mhz)
GPU: 2x GTX580 Reference
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
HDD: WD GREEN 3TB
USB devices: Logitech G19, SteelSeries World Of Warcraft Cataclysm mouse, Creative SB 1090
The system is fully watercooled and has no any damaged capacitor.
That problem started after the instalation of the SSD but now even when the drive is unpluged voltages are still low, resulting USB problems. I tried wide range of solutions found online - QPI LLC adjustments, tweaking, reseting and change the bios versions, etc. The system is stable the only problem is that USB dies without any warning and the only way to fix is restart, sometimes many restarts. Please help, I am desperate. I do not need hardware upgrade so spending money on new PC is not an option for me. If more details are needed for a solution, please let me know.
