Rampage II Extreme SoundDriver on Windows 8 - Not Working

Hey there,

After installing Windows 8 i tried to install the previous working driver for my supreme-fx that comes with Rampage II Extreme.
Unfortunately the did not work (had an error message when i was trying to open the console: no supported audio devices avalable).

I was already aware of troll66 driver modification and after uninstalling previous drivers i installed what he suggested.
It seemed like the driver worked and console would normally open now.

So far so good, the problem is though that no special effect works. By that i mean no SVM, no Cystalizer, no XFi-3D
Basically having the console without it operating, a.k.a makes not difference if i have it or not !

Anyone else faced this issue and solved it? Even with another mobo & sound card.

Thanks in advance,
George

Have you gone to the third party vendor of the sound card chipset for Win8 drivers.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Well, i tried searching for drivers in creative's website in the past as well..

There is no product listed as Supreme FX.. and from what i know this sound card was created by asus and creative 😕

bump!

so noone else had simmilar problems?

I have the same problem! 😞

Is there any chance to have a proper response to this matter?

Shall i go purchase a new SoundCard that supports windwos 8 or Asus will make a driver any time soon?

Thanks again,
G.

Please define what u mean problem solved?

I i mentioned in my first post i was aware of this driver modification. The problem wasn't to install the drivers to windows 8 but to actually make them work.

For example the surround system doesn't work as it did on windows 7.
