Rampage 4 Black Edition Fan Headers

Hey guys,

Do any of you know what amps/watts each 4 pin fan header can withstand on the rampage 4 black mobo? I am wanting to connect 4 noctua nf-s12a to the mobo, using a y adapter to connect 2 fans to 1 header. Will the mobo be able to handle that?

It would surprise me that a Rampage 4BE could only take 1 A while my Crosshair V Formula can take 2A (24W) on each header with a max of 7A for all headers combined. It's in the manual!!! Open the manual on the diagram of your board, see where the fanheaders are described (for me it's 2-23) there you will see excactly how much every fanheader on your board can take.

Hello

As kkn notes above each header can supply 1 amp but it is best to stay under that value for long term use. The NF-S12A specs show 0.12 amp max current for the fan. Two fans on one header would be 0.24 amp so you will be fine.
