Raid0 on 840 evo SSD + usb windows 8 installation

I have a problem installing windows after creating raid for my two SSDs. On the IRST, it shows the raid drive and it reads bootable --> yes.

However, the raid drive does not show up in BIOS as a boot option (My SATA configuration is set to RAID already, not sure if I'm suppose to see the raid drive in BIOS anyway). My only option in BIOS is the USB flash drive i'm using to install windows.

When I run the windows installation, I installed the raid drivers and select the raid drive. Windows says the drive is not bootable and refuse to install anything on it.

Is there something I missed ? ?

p.s. used this driver

That is correct, once you have set RAID as your mode of SATA your drives will not show in BIOS

How I install Windows is quite simple really.

USB OS drive - Microsoft USB tool works perfectly for me.

Only the two SSD's that I wish to have my OS installed on in the Intel 6G SATA ports.

USB stick in a USB2 port.

In BIOS F5 to defaults.

Set RAID as mode of SATA

Ctl I for RAID set up.

Set up my RAID

Save and exit

Boot to OS install.

USB stick will be picked up automatically.

If you are using Win7 SP1 or Win8 you will not need to install any RAID drivers.
