Hey Guts-

Should I use the later BIOS versions with Win7 or do they mostly address Win8 functionality?

TIA

There is no reason to update BIOS past about 1404 unless you go Win8 or are having some issue in which you suspect BIOS update will help. I am still running 1404, and just helped someone who just OCd W/BIOS 1xxx. I have seen a half-dozen ppl who started having issues W/their system after updating to 3xxx BIOS'. When you do that, it updates the OROMs, and there is no going back on the OROM firmware. Most of them had prob's W/HDD/RAID. Why take the chance?

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

Gnarly stay were you are mate, your system works. Don't mess with it. Just enjoy...
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

I am at 2002. Is there a way to revert to 1404 (CAP back to ROM). I updated because I installed 8. it did not agree with me so I went back to 7 which is more to my taste in an OS.

Go to the sticky thread RE: CAP conversion in the Rampage Series forum (where this thread should've been in the first place), and look at Post #9.
