Psu wattage

Hi,

I need a psu for my upcoming rig.

Internals:

Intel core i5 4670k (will overclock as much as possible)
Corsair H100i
MSI Z87 GD65 gaming motherboard
2x EVGA gtx770 classified
Asus xonar st soundcard
Corsair vengeance pro 16gb (2 DIMM) 1600 mhz
Samsung 840 evo 120gb ssd
WD black 1tb HDD
3x Noctua NF-F12 pwm fans
1x 200mm fan

Externals:

1440p pls 27" display
2x 75watt speakers
Headphones
mouse
keyboard

Now i checked websites that calculate psu wattage and almost all of them point to 1200 1100 watts, but some people say if you get a good psu like a corsair ax 860i it's going to be enough. I only need a psu that can run this system, no need for future upgradability, with every new generation gpus and cpus use less and less power so i think if i would get a psu exactly for this system i would find no problem upgrading to new generation of cpu or gpu.

Hi Gtechzero 🙂

An 860 would be fine ordinarily but if you want to push CPU and GPU up OCing then a 1000W would probably do it more comfortably and do so with a bit of headroom which i would always recommend having.
