Hi! I made a video of the problem im experiencing and a temporary fix. Maybe someone will find this post useful, I hope someone from ASUS sees this and updates the BIOS with these fixes or provides some technical support in the comments below. Its very frustrating dealing with this and this is not the first time im having issues with asus motherboards. Thank you, please watch the video. https://youtu.be/H8FdNK10H2w?feature=shared

what slot do you have your OS nvme in?

Any overclock, you should do a preliminary test when in the OS using tools such as Karhu Ram Test or HCI Memtest Pro. It's always a good methodology to keep.

I was having all sorts of instability issues, lock ups at the bios screen, unable to run expo and etc
turns out I had the cpu cooler over tight, I loosened it a bit and all is rock stable now, including 6000 cas30 expo on my Kingston 64gb qvl kit
9800x3d and x870e hero

I don't think this is my issue, enabling EXPO in main screen or enabling any EXPO in AI Tweaker section (EXPO I, EXPO II or EXPO Tuned) makes my system fail to POST.
But EXPO working flawless when enabling in AMD Overclocking sub-menu.
Also entering custom timings in AI Tweaker section fails to POST aswell, again, entering timings in AMD Overclocking sub-menu works just fine (just have to convert values to HEX since menu values in HEX)

I tried EXPO with KF564C32BBEK2-64, this is KF564C32BBEAK2-64 but without lighting.
X870E hero latest bios. Expo 1 and 2 doesn't work, Expo one the fly works. With remap off also doesn't work.
Does a red LED and some Q-code always need to be lit on the motherboard? Right now, it shows red 36, and the computer runs stably in Expo on-the-fly mode. But there are constantly some red indicators – first it was 28, then 32, and now 36.
When the computer is working properly, and I’m in desktop mode, what colors should the LEDs on the motherboard display, and what Q-code should I expect? Could you show me on a picture?

I fixed Expo today. Solution is a bit stupid but it works for me. Try it maybe it will be also fix for you?
1. Install one module in A2.
2. Enable expo 1, save and exit from bios. Mobo will display 15 q-code. Wait even 10 min. After this windows shoud start with working Expo.
3. Turn off pc. Turn off power s. Add second module to B2, turn on power s. and press power on. Another time wait, you will see 15 again after this windows shoud start with working Expo.
Let me know if this works for you.

This solution has already been explained for many weeks on this post (page 10 at 12) and I don't understand why no one tries because it is the only way to make the motherboard learn each RAM one by one.
It would be good to put this solution forward to close this post definitively.

It's a workaround, not a definitive solution, it should not behave that way. Other brand X870 boards does not have this issue.

It shouldn't be a solution, and anyway it doesn't work for everyone.
In my case with 9800X3D and 48GB x2 Kit 6000MHz CL30 (CMK96GX5M2B6000Z30) - one stick works fine with expo, it boots after minimal training. adding the second stick and it will do some memory training but then show failed boot massage and boots with defaults, 5600MHz with CL28 works fine and and no errors on memtest. this kit is "Expo certified", my mobo (X870E-Creator) has CMH96GX5M2B6000C30 on the QVL which is the RGB "Intel" XMP version, unlike my "AMD" Expo kit. both should be 'SK Hynix M-die' and have the same timings.
So for now I'm just running 5600Mhz with CL28. I updated the bios first thing after the build so I can't compare to previous bios.

I agree, it’s frustrating that these workarounds are necessary. I’m running a 9800X3D on an X870E Hero with a 32GB x2 6000MHz CL30 kit, and I’ve had similar issues on Spotify Premium App. One stick runs perfectly with EXPO, but adding the second causes a failed POST and defaults to 4800MHz. Manual tuning works to some extent, but it’s far from ideal for an "EXPO-certified" kit. Hopefully, a future BIOS update will address this inconsistency across kits.
