Hi! I made a video of the problem im experiencing and a temporary fix. Maybe someone will find this post useful,  I hope someone from ASUS sees this and updates the BIOS with these fixes or provides some technical support in the comments below. Its very frustrating dealing with this and this is not the first time im having issues with asus motherboards. Thank you, please watch the video.   https://youtu.be/H8FdNK10H2w?feature=shared

What is your serial number KIT ?

MY MOTHERBOARD : ProArt X870E
BIOS : 0706
RAM : CORSAIR 2x32gb - 6000Mhz - CL30 - ref.: CMH32GX5M2B6000Z30K
PROCESSOR : Ryzen 9600X

If both sticks manage to launch at 6000 MHz with EXPO I or II, it's too strange that the motherboard does not boot with both.

Do you have the possibility to test with other KITs? (or other processor ?)

MOTHERBOARD : X870E Hero
BIOS : 0606
RAM : G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 2x16GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 / F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
PROCESSOR : Ryzen 9800X3D

Any expo setting with both sticks will turn my pc off and back on and get me to this. It worked before with no issues but for the past 2 weeks now got bsods and crashes to the point i cant even boot at all now if i am not at stock speeds. Got a new ram kit on the way, same one...will test with that

I'm fairly disappointed this hasn't been issued an actual fix or official response. I'm approaching the end of the return window for this MoBo, and this issue has me on the fence for returning or not. I'd like to maintain optimism that there will be an update to fix this. Unfortunately, it has been going on for a while with a variety of threads on the internet saying the same thing. I can not help but wonder if the board is a lemon or has an inherent defect that can not be patched. It would be helpful if there were any official responses as to what may be expected going forwards so I can make an informed decision for what to do with the board.

Ok so I Bought my new pc at Microcenter on the 11th. 4 ENTIRE rebuilds,  100% all NEW parts each time.  NEW cpu, ram, ssd, psu, gpu.

ASUS ROG X870e crosshair hero Board. G.SKill Trident Z 6000mhz cl30 RAM, QVL listed. 2 sticks at 16gb.

OCCTA core errors all over using expo 1 or expo 2.

Please asus! I paid 670 USD for this Board.  Make it STABLE!

So I'm not sure if this will help anyone, but I ran into the same problem, but resolved it. In my case, it seems if you plug in your ram into the wrong memory slot order it will cause this problem.

I'm my example, I have 3 sticks of ram, which is weird I know, the 4th was faulty.. anyway, I originally used slots 1/2/3, and could not get it to post on a profile however it worked fine in default. Looking in the manual, on the second bank, slot 4 is listed as #1 for that bank, so using slots 1/2/4 worked fine. That being said the tweaked profile did not work but the others did fine.

Although I highly doubt anyone else is using 3 sticks of ram like I am, it may be worth ensuring that you are using the correct slot order. It could probably also be affected by using bank b instead of bank a first if you are only using 2 sticks.

Just something to keep in mind. Cheers.

Hello, today I updated the computer with...
Motherboard: Asus X870E Hero
Processor: AMD 9800x3D
Memory: DDR5 2x32(64Gb) 6000Ghz CL30 Dominator
Cooler: Asus Ryujin III 360.
After I assembled it and turned it on, everything started, fans, lighting, the pump is audible but no picture. The motherboard displays code 15 preceded by a yellow "lamp" and after a minute or two the code becomes 46 with a red "lamp" and sits like that. It does not boot to either the bios or the window.  I clarify that this is not the first computer I have assembled, I am aware of the matter.

Things I have tried so far.
1: I have checked every cable, connector and so on to see if it is connected correctly and where it should be.
2: I downloaded the latest not beta BIOS for the motherboard from the Asus website and flashed it to the latest version using the Flashback option on the motherboard. At least according to the indicator that blinks during the process, the flash was successful. I can't enter the BIOS so I can't say it's 100 percent.
3: I did Clear cmos several times, waited for 10, 15 minutes followed by a restart on my part, with no result.
4: I tested each RAM stick separately in each of the four slots, the result and codes were the same. I tried without any RAM (I know it won't boot), the code it displays is 10.

5. Starting the computer without any cables plugged in (except the power cables for the processor and motherboard), fans, RGB, etc. The result is the same, a minute of code 15 and then code 46 and that's it.
6 . Starting the computer with the video card and Nvme drives removed (which I have tested in three different slots. The result is the same. I specify that I am sure of the drives (two in number) and the video (4090 strix), I have no problem with them. They have been used until yesterday from the old configuration together with the power supply and have always worked without problems. The same applies to the power supply (Asus 1200W Thor Platinum).
7 . New flash of the bios with the latest beta update. The result is the same.
8.  We reach the point from which I personally think that there was no point.. Removing the processor.

The socket and the pins are completely okay. I even remove the holder to see and inspect it better. From the inspection, I don't see any problem with the socket. The processor from the bottom looks completely normal. I don't see any marks or burns.

I should add that I tried to start without a processor but the computer wouldn't start. The same was true of the old STRIX X570 E motherboard. It starts without memory and sits at code 10 and that's it.
I put it back together, connected everything and the result is code 46. I'll wait until the memory arrives and see if it's from it. Expensive is definitely not always the best. Once again I'm convinced of this.

Personally, I doubt it's from the RAM, some incompatibility or bad memory. My previous motherboard also had some kind of memory problem from time to time, apparently this is AMD's weakness. I ordered two new 32Gb sticks of Vengeance 6000Ghz. As far as I know, they should work most stably at this purity. If anyone has an idea that I can try while I wait for the memory to arrive, I'd be happy to hear it.

Hi @ComputerManBG

1. Update to new AMD AGESA on UEFI 1002, see if this helps.

2. Reseat CPU. Ensure the CPU pin pad and socket have no damage or debris. Reseat cooler and CPU whilst ensuring for even mounting pressure as per cooling vendors instructions.

3. If using a CPU contact frame, remove it and return to the stock retention mechanism.

9800X3D / 6400 CAS 28 / ROG X870 Crosshair / TUF RTX 4090

The problem is that I can't enter the BIOS or Windows.
I don't know if they can be updated via flashback
As I said in the first post, I removed the processor and checked the socket and pins, everything is fine. I'm sure the cooler is installed correctly.
I don't use a CPU contact frame

It might be a bad board...try with a different one. I had issues with my x870e Hero myself, had to return it and get a new one to fix the issues with expo

I had a similar problem with G.SKILL 32GB KIT DDR5 6000MHz CL30 Trident Z5 NEO AMD EXPO ( F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N ). Constant freezing etc. with Expo (Expo I, II, Advanced).
I tried Kingston FURY 32GB KIT DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 Beast Black EXPO ( KF560C30BBEK2-32 ) and the problem is gone. Now I'm going to Advanced. Bios 1003, 9800X3D, Corsair RM1200Shift, M1 Samsung 990Pro 2TB, M5 990Pro 1TB. RTX 4080 Strix.
