hey randybeck 🙂

Can you tell us exactly what memory, how much...and if that's one single kit or two kits...etc

Full system details would be best really.

OK so that's a single kit at a frequency that should work no problems. Have you tried updating the BIOS of your board? If you do and you still have problems...i.e. the kit will not run at XMP...try one stick at a time in the red slot just to the right of the CPU but really the RAM should run at spec and if it doesn't you should probably return it.

i5 3570k and i guess maybe the rog tech was right , just need to rma the memory or i will buy one stick of small memory from the vendors list and see if that will work .

Well the CPU does a lot of things these days and the IMC (memory controller) is on the CPU so it would be good to test another stick of DDR3 RAM with the CPU if you have the possibility...but you said the PC runs fine with the RAM at default (1333) right...which does make me suspect the kit more....but the mmore you can test before having to send stuff back the better...

HELLO, I ALSO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, ASUS MAXIMUS EXTREME V, CORE I7 3770, CORSAIR CMD8GX3M2A1866C9 (2x4GB)
