I have a Maximus VII Hero MB, i5 4670k, 2x4GB 2133MHz RAM. Can i change BCLK using ai suite 3 and how without restarting my pc? I have managed to move it from 100 to 102.5 but everything above 102.5 freezes my pc. I would like to get it to 105 if possible. I have thermaltake 3.0 pro water cooling. Thanks

I agree with kkn, Do not make changes to settings using AI Suite. Only in the Bios.

AI Suite has some good features but is unreliable for OC.

It's true OCing in the BIOS is the best way to go and really pretty simple too.

Having said that changing the BCLK is difficult on some CPUs and the further you get from 100 the more difficult it becomes almost all will go no further than say 7 from 100 so most don't reach 107...and some cant go even to 104 etc. And of course if you keep your multi the same, stepping up 5 on BCLK is adding around 200MHz and maybe this is making you unstable especially if you have a fixed voltage so maybe some idea of what you want to achieve etc and settings would help.

Also BCLK affects RAM and PCIe frequency so maybe changing BCLK is throwing your RAM a curve ball...
