Pc wont Post

Hello

Recently i was using my desktop on normal routine when suddenly a BSOD screen appeared indicating Memory Management error. After restarting the Motherboard flashes its LED lights(3 in this case) and shuts down . no beep.. It turns on every 3 seconds later and does the same (3 flashes and no beeps ).

Therefore i left the pc to rest for an hour and whne later booted the pc the AMI screen appears and displays Overclocking failed. I did not overclocked. Pressed F1 went into bios and booted from HDD. Windows loader screen came and the pc restarted itself going back to the same issue of infinite loop(same 3 flashes no beep)

Waited for an hour pc opened up like before diplaying AMI screen .Did the same ANd on windowsboot screen tried Automatiic repair.Didnt worked.Same 3 flashes and no beep and restarts.

Tried everything even installed the new Windows 10. But the problem persists.
Whenever the pc restarts or shutsdown it doesnt not open up again. It only flashes led lights (and the fans are turned on also) But after the VGA led flashes the pc shutsdown and reopens seconds later to do the same thing..
The rest given to pc also doesnt help now.

specs

ASUS z97-a
intel 4790k
corsair 650vs pSU
corsair 8gb vengence

The pc ran fine for a year or so.

Any help would be highly appreciated

Hello namsunami

Welcome to the ROG forum.

The first theg to try is clearing the cmos with the cmos jumper, if that doesn't help then try flashing the bios.

Thanks man.
Desperate Times . Desperate Measures.
Did the CMOS and jumper thingy. Didn't worked. Removed all the memory and got 1 long beep 2 short beeps. reseated the RAM and the problem happens again.

also used a different PSU although with lower wattage(400) and the same issue occoured.

Flashing the bios could solve your problem and I would try this before doing an RMA, it's perfectly safe if you follow the guide.

I'm not sure if your board has the bios flashback but you can use the ez flash method.
