I have an i7-6700K with a Maximus VIII Hero.
I used the 5-way Optimization, and came up with the following:
The memory I have is G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 F4-3200C16D-16GTZB
One thing I noticed is that after using the 5-way tuner, it removed the XMP profile from my Memory. Now I know this is part of the process, as the 5-way will using varying increments to try and test each to make sure they're stable, but after the optimization, the ram is set at a lower speed than the XMP profile was set to.
My question (and after searching haven't found a clear answer to), is if it's okay to re-enable the memory XMP profile after the CPU is overclocked? or should I be trying to manually set the memory timings to what they're specificed at?
Assuming your memory overclock were stable in the first place, it should work. If not, minor tweaking will be required.
