Yesterday i bought some new hardware, since i needed a new computer
However, i don't benchmark anymore so a Ryzen 5 2400G seemed to be a great choice for normal use
So i went to the half empty HW store and and picked up a TUF 470X, Ballistix Tactical 3000MHz / 8GB, R5 2400G
I just want to share my experiences, since i have seen so much Ryzen frustration online
I thought i would run into some problems with the AMD hardware at some point under the installation, but no
Everything worked great out of the box, and this board seem to have no problems with memory overclocking
After a bios update and some testing it was no problem overclocking the RAM to 3600mhz@1,35v
Also Xega 11 installation was a walk in the park
A nice board, and a pleasant experience ))
hmm brown PCB or tacky camera?
Some examples in AIDA
3200mhz
3400mhz
3466mhz
3533mhz
3600mhz
Here is a quick simplified guide how to overclock your RAM on this motherboard:
These timings should work on other RAM brands as well, since they are kinda standard overall (but success is not guaranteed)
1. Select 3200mhz
2: Select DRAM voltage 1,35v
3: Fill out the timings like i did in this image, leave the rest on auto
16.18.18.18.36 (crucial/or samsung), for other ram brands 16.18.18.18 and rest on auto
3200mhz OC is not high for most 2133mhz,2400mhz,2666mhz RAM kits
4: Save and exit, reboot
Disable gear down, if your timings wont stick after boot
Play with it, good luck
