I need help offset overclocking. I have manually overclocked to 4.8 and offset to 4.6 but have several things I need assistance with.My main problem is that although my voltage & speed will briefly show that it throttles back, most of the time it stays at the higher voltage and speed even when i am not doing anything. I'm not sure of the C3, C6 and other "power saving" settings, Also i cannot get the VID settings to work in Real Temp 3.70 with my 3770K. I am also not sure of the settings i need in the Digi+Vrm and the setting in the advanced Cpu settings? T-probe, Extreme, etc.?? Also can i set the Dram settings, I have assumed that this will keep the voltage & speed from dropping. I have looked at several guides and tried most of their settings but still don't have a handle on why it rarely will drop to idle speeds and voltages. It will drop to 1600 until i load the system with prime95 and then it usually will not stay at a lower idle except for a few seconds. My offset voltage is +0.050 for 46 speed.
My loaded temps seem to be OK and are around 69-70 at 4.6 and Voltage @ 1.304, everything seems stable. I have checked my memory and do not have BSOD's at these settings at load or games. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
