Me agian.

Been playing some more trying to see what I can do OC'ing wise on my Hyper 212 Plus. I can get 4.7ghz to work fine @ 1.23v but uping it to 5ghz at 1.3Xv I just blue screen. LOL

Any tips I should know? Should I use another way to get 5ghz rather than 100 x 50 ?? I my memory whats stopping me? Would it possibly need any more volts? or is it too much volts causing my bsod's? Should I try 5ghz at the 1.23-1.24 ?

I'm willing to try a little bit more, but I really dislike the shutdowns on my new SSD due to the failings...

I guess you need much more volts. Every chip has kinda breaking point, after that you'll need much more volts for every next 100MHz then before it. (For example you can raise up to 4.6 GHz adding 0.01v for every 100MHz and to get 4.7GHz you'll need at least 0.03v)

Memory wouldn't make any problem while OCing the CPU via multiplier.

Try to get stable on 4.8 GHz with 1.3v vcore, adjusting VTT VCCSA and PLL voltages. If you'll manage to do it drop the vcore as much as possible to stay stable.

Also check your mobo's VRM settings like LLC.

That may as well be my issue. The only thing I've done is set my XMP, multiplier to 50 and vcore. I've changed nothing else. Will peek at them later, maybe before my evening job ( 😉 )

If it helps any, stock I'm 1.050v.

OC your CPU and RAM separately (while testing one leave another on stock settings). When found optimal settings for both - use them.

VTT and VCCSA can be raised up to 1.15 if needed.

Also look at BSOD code if it will appear, it can help you to find out what causes the problem.

ok, I will see about disabling restart on error, since the bsod doesn't stay up.
