I want to overclock the CDominator GT to 2400Mhz!

Mobo: Asus Rampage IV Extreme
RAM:CorsairDominator GT 16GB DDR3-2133 CL9 quad kit
CPU: Intel Core I7 3960X
GPU: 3x Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 3GB
SSD1: OCZVertex 3 Max IOPS 120GB
SSD2: OCZ Vertex 4 128 GB
HDD: Samsung 1TB, Samsung 500GB
PSU: EnermaxMaxRevo 80+ 1500W
Monitor: DellUltraSharp U2711
OS: Windows 7 x64.

24/7 Bios
CPU ratio: 46
Bclk freq.: 100
Vcore 1,37V
all DRAM: 1,5V
CPU VCCSA: 1,23
CPU PLL: 1,7V
VTT CPU: 1.2V

I've have tried the bios on auto with the DRAM voltage on 1,65 and DRAM freq on 2400Mhz = failed

Is there anybody who can help me to reach the 2400MHz?

Thnx in advance...

I did that but i have the Corsair Dominator GT 16GB DDR3-2133 CL9 quad kit. There is not an XMP profile for 2400Mhz but only one 2133Mhz XMP profile.

I think the title of my post is a little bit confusing.

I would try to reset the PLL voltage to 1.8V and set all the memory timings to auto... see if that would boot...

No my bad, I simply assumed it was a 2400MHz rated kit.

For 2400MHz you will need 1.65 on the dram.

That's OK but i Raised the DRAM voltage to 1,65V, 2400MHz, the rest on auto and did a boot but unfortunately it didn't work that way we wanted.

If booted, then it means that you're getting closer... 🙂 What was the problem? BSOD? If so, could you share the code?

first boot: I saw that my VGA card wasn't suitable for the desktop! -> Bios settings reset
second boot: windows hardware failure after i saw the windows logo for one second
third boot like second boot

I do not get this... usually your graphics card(s) should not interfere with the RAM OC'ing... - at least I didn't experienced it... Are your VGAs OC'd?

And "windows hardware failure"... it's a BSOD or freeze or shutdown?

it was a W7 shutdown and yes my VGA'S are OCd
