NVM Update Utility for Intel 82579V

On ASUS's website it says to run the NVM Update Utility before installing updated drivers.

I downloaded the NVM Update Utility from Intel's download center and I uninstalled my the old NIC drivers. With the NIC drivers uninstalled I ran the NVM Update Utility and I keep getting this list of options every single time I enter 82579VSKUW64e.exe -noslient,

Usage: LVDASKU [options]

-noauto - wait for user input

-log [filename] - generate log info

-report [filename] - generate report file

-nosilent - display the user interface

-nofunction0only - update shared EEPROM

-nodriver - don't auto-install driver

-p - only check for update needed

-undo - undo changes previous made

The only thing that refers to a update is -nofunction0only. What exactly does -nofunction0only do? When I entered 82579VSKUW64e.exe -nofunction0only nothing happened.
