I just bought and installed this pc with asus Formula IV rog
And then i installed all the newest drivers..sudenly my internet starts to disconnect..then from here on its only been hell no matter what i did to fix it.

I tryed with a new router from my internet provider and a new cable and i also tested the mentioned gear on a laptop and it worked, so im sure its my PC that ****s me up sideways !

I tryed old an dnew drivers and i tryed to remove the hardware from the manage list and restore old ****.

I cant get the damm LAN to work, I tested the intel 82679V onboard net card with the inbuild diagnose tools.

When i test hardware "net card" then a green light blinks behind the pc were the LAN port is
Also the other tests shows me passed with a green tag for allright status.

I tryed to change the linksped dublex and they only show me this message "not connected, power off"/ Not available no matter what speed i choose.

and yes the net controller is enable in bios..i also did a reset bios today and that dident help

Hey psycrow! Can you use system restore to set your computer back to a time before you started the driver updates. That way you might get connection back....?

hmm problem is i cant remember what time and date it happend..all i know is that it worked in the very start when i installed windows and then i downloadet alldrivers and updates for win 7. Then i was playing league of legends game were the internet suddenly started to act strange and disconnect..i tryed to change the duplex to 100 from auto and that worked in a short time..now it WONT detect any LAN cable...

Would it maybe help to reinstall windows again ?

because it seems like the NIC dosent use windows drivers, i must install the lan drivers and chipset from the asus cd before the NIC gets installed on the hardware manage list

Really?----hmmm not good.....maybe try the second BIOS? That board has 2 right? if that doesn't work looks like Ethernet hardware has failed? Have you tried another cable?
