Just joined the rog family and need some help.
My specs:
Maximus viii
i7 6700k skylake
Gainward 980ti
DDR4 8gb x2

If any other specs are required to help me out let me know.

Im wondering how i can adjust to get best performance as well as how to clock safely.
Any programs i can use?
Or i need to do it in bios?
Im running latest bios(1601)
And do i need to update chipset?
Mot sure how to do that without messing things up (happend before)

Any help i highly appriciated

EDIT:
found my way to Dual intelligent processors.
Did the 5 way optimalization.
Is this a good result?

What water cooling do you have? What memory spec and model#? XMP?

You have a very good processor 4.8Ghz!
Sincerely,
Legolas

Dont have a water cooling.
Im running Noctua NH-D15S
Memory DDR4, 2x8GB KIT, 2400MHz, CL16, UDIMM, 288pin (Crucial Ballistix Sport)

I also got a Gainward 980ti Pheonix.
Anyone got knowledge about OC this as well?

Good old NH-D15S... have one ready for my Skylake build. Pretty much the D15 perfected.

Watch out for your max temp though. 5 Way optimisation isn't reading core temp, it's CPU temp I believe, so core temp is higher.

If you run synthetic stress tests like Prime 95, then the temp may be high.

If you like to run synthetic stress tests, then 5 way optimization can be set to test for AVX, so the OC and thus temp will be lower, but enable synthetic stress testing if that's your thing.

Yes this i abit risky.
This should be highlighted somewhere.
I noticed this yesterday and startet playing around abit more.
Seems like my fans are useless...
I have two fans in front blowing in, and one in the back blowing out.
Everything else is closed

Wien testing it Seems like they are useless and got basicly No impact on temperatures.
Guess Im doing something wrong.
Anyone got any tips for this?
I can open the top and add two more fans there, but will it have any effect?

You can use Asus GPU Tweak, MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision X, all three will overclock your gpu as well as control the gpu fan speed.

I prefer MSI Afterburner.
