Need Some Help

So what happened was Lightning hit something outside ( not the Phone Line ) this somehow killed my other pc which i use as a server Ethernet while it was connected to my router and gaming pc which stuff still works 100%

now i know the NiC is dead the problem i have is , its chip is $%#^&*^ hot is there a way to remove the chip , cause i don't want it to pop something else

the Board is a Asus P5E Deluxe , everything else on the board still works fine except the dead Ethernet which marvel chip is overheating now

any suggestion?

I didn't say you won't kill the board. I was just answering if you can remove the chip. 😛

I mean you probably won't kill the board but I have no idea how the BIOS will react to having the chip removed.

well the NiC is not even seen anymore besides the fact its epically hot
