Need help with trifire

Hi I have an Asus Maximus V extreme motherboard and 3 Sapphire 7970 6GB Vapor x cards. I just got my 3rd card today but I can't seem to make it work. Enabling it disables crossfire x and then I only run 1 Graphics card. Only 2 graphics cards show up in device manager. I have swapped the cards around all are working and crossfire with 2 cards work fine. I have set the crossfire bridges one the first slot to the second cards firs slot and from there the second slot to the third cards second slot. Does the motherboard support graphics cards in the first PCI and then the third and the fifth slot? I also have uninstalled all the drivers and downloaded new ones. I am really stuck on this any ideas?

did you enable the pcie lane whit the dip switch?

and you have to use ports 1 and 2A and 3 for 3 cards.

Yes I did

It only has 4 switches for the 5 pci lanes and I'm Running windows 8.1 forgot to mention that.

I can't see the image very well but it is in the first the third(black one) and the last as the graphics cards take up more than 2 lanes.

I have a Coolermaster 1500w PSU

Is the PSU up to the job?

Actually that spacing I'm not sure about.....the black slot turns off with a card in 2A 3 or 4

Any way it can be enabled as the cards won't fit otherwise

OK that PSU should do it;)...but the PCIe lane thing I don't think there is a way around it apart from getting something tike a PCIe extension cable and jury rigging the card somehow.....or watercool them...

Never seen a PCI extension cable does something like that exist? Water cooling my cards are too expensive +- R15000 to install about $ 1200 dollars then comes import taxes.
