Since day 1 of my build I seem to have issues with OC. I posted in the forums awhile back and didn't get to far.
I have since then not oc'd my system at all. I can test all hardware and tests are good. I can wipe my HDD re install everything and still get random freezing and have to force reboot or like as of late i get glitches in os. I have like in background 12 images setup to rotate and they sometimes ghost each other overlapping like both are present at same time,
Also if I run any type of registry cleaning software whole system will lock up causing force reboot
I have made sure all drivers and windows updates are up to date and begin to wonder if hardware was never good from the beginning. My ram I am not sure if fully compatible with the MOBO BUT i seen some say it is.
I really need any help I can get I had my previous build last me 7 years with not half the specs of this system and it still runs to date without any issues.
I am currently running windows 8 64 bit as well. I have Govt issued symantec endpoint protection running and no other crap on it but games and some basic software applications.
Any advice on hardware or how I might need to setup Bios. Please dont refer me to the crosshair v formula z and 8150 OC guide. I simply dont get from it enough to oc my rig. I feel there is something missing or perhaps I am too much of a noob and got lucky on my first build.
Ty again for any quick responses

I flashed my board prior to posting the pics to you with latest bios upgrade from asus site and was successful. Now with my current configuration of equipment can i get any ideas of where to start for a solid OC. What ares to tweak and not to touch. Is there a swith on mobo i need to turn on for OC?

I appreciate any assistance in this area from someone with more knowledge on this board with my type of ram and what limit I should push to or should be able to get out of it. I have gotten it up pretty high before to like 4.8 but it was not solid and then what programs should i run to test if it is solid

Hello again back online. 🙂

I would strongly suggest you read the guide I posted up about the same motherboard and the bulldozer processors (same as yours)

What are you changing in bios and you do know you can take a screenshot of your bios using the F12 and a fat formatted USB stick 🙂

Ahhhh I will do that when I get home then. I am only messing with the CPU Ratio and CPU bus frequency. Then DRAM voltage and CPU voltage and my ram. I had it clocked up to 2400 with a lil boost to voltage for ram booted up all was good so moved on to CPU and kept getting BSOD. SO started lowering lil by lil and seemed to be going backwards with stability. Also I disabled everything power wise you had in ya article but I think with cool and quite off my fans have gotten outrageously loud. Now I do know I can manage my fans from another program or the bios if needed but do they have to run that hard to keep my board stable

Stick cool and quite back then. When I was benching at 7.8GHz on the 8350 a while back I actually found it better as a clocker with it on. Go figure. I will pull my board out and we can workout something that suites your system I am sure.
