Need help with my build please

Current setup:

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero
CPU: Intel i7-4770k
CPU Cooler: Stock
Memory: Trident X 16Gb
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912

My problem is this .. I've been looking for a new CPU cooler, air cooler / water cooler and I'd love to go with a water cooling option however my case seems to not support the best options like for example:

1. Corsair h100i
2. Swiftech 220.

I've also considered the following air coolers:

1. COOLER MASTER RR-V8VC-16PR-R1
2. Prolimatech PRO-GNSS-BK

Those 4 would be my top choices but I want something that fits inside my case and I'm not sure either of those water cooling options do. What do you guys recommend based on my build. I'd love the best possible result considering my case and to be able to OC to around 4.5Ghz without having to worry about temperatures.

Welcome to the ROG forums, mykelbuenrostro.

You can fit the H80i in the HAF 912 easily. And the H80i's performance is pretty close to the H100i. 😉

Thank you very much for the suggestion! I don't even know how the other day I was OC'ing my system to 4.2Ghz on the stock cooler, temps were at about 58c lol.. I had to revert those changes back to default, I have no idea how that even happened lol. I heard that there should be no stock cooler OC'ing b/c of the risk.

Here's the funny thing. Technically you can overclock using the stock cooler. Depending on the quality of your CPU and the extra voltage needed to get there, the increase in temperatures might not be that big. The problem comes when you apply a load to the CPU. You'll see an immediate increase in temperatures.

For example, your temperatures were about 58C because you probably weren't doing anything on your system. But if you had started gaming or doing heavy tasks on it, you'd see that 58C go up to 70C - 80C. LOL

yea the h80i should work for you. or any other all in one water cooling kit, mine installed in less then 5 mins and stays cool. OR you can setup your own custom water cooling system.

Thank you both for your input, I ordered the h80i today along with some Cougar CF-V12HP fans to replace the stock fans since I heard the stock fans are loud.

You'll overclock to 4.5ghz with the H80i even to 4.8ghz... If the case permits do a psuh pull config.
