Hi! So far ive only reached 4.8ghz stable, the bios can actually overclock higher than what i can achieve manually.
So here is my setup. If i go beyond 5ghz it just wont load windows.
Windows 8.1 64bit (fully updated)
Intel i7-4820k (3700) clocked with just multiplier up to 47 while everything else is running on Auto.
Asus Rampage iv Extreme 2011 (latest BIOS)
Kingston DDR3 HyperX Predator 8GB 2400Mhz, 2x4GB, heat spreader, CL11-13-13, 240 pi (Running stock at 1600, Auto)
Crucial 60g 2x Raid0
Seagate Barracuda® 500GB 2x in Raid 0
Crucial CT480 500g Normal
Radeon r9 290x 2x 4gb CF
Corsair Power supply 860i Platium (Power seems to be fine , asuming if it where drawing more power it would become hotter right ?)
12v Pump running full speed , almost every component is water cooled, so heat is no issue here.
cpu temp at 4.7ghz is ~30c and graphic cards at ~30c, PCH ~29c the rest is below 30c
At 100% load cpu temp is at 55c and the rest just move up 1c . (prime95)
Ive tried out so many things, feels like im missing out on something.
It also wont let me choose vcore voltage past 1.550v .
Is it even possible to go beyond 5ghz with this setup ?
