Mid boot shutdown

PC specs: intel 3930k, Rampage IV extreme, Corsair AX 1200W, XFX 7970, Corsair vengeance 4*4GB.

So for about a year my Pcs worked fine, there were problems in between and I had to replace the mobo twice, one DOA, and the other was deffective and died about 3 weeks into PC finally working. Now everytime I try to boot the PC it powers on for about 1 sec before clicking off. A few days back it did that a couple of times (when it shuts off it trys to boot again) and booted fine on the second attempt, but now it just clicks forever. Inittially I thought it was dust build up, the filters were quite clogged with this point and I went to town cleaning of all dust, and it still would continue clicking on and off mid boot. I then thought that the mobo was shorting on the case so I set up an external build same problem over and over. I have no clue what to do now, any suggestions would be great.

Welcome to the ROG forums, arcticflyer.

Have you ever updated the BIOS since getting this motherboard? If so, which version were you running?

I don't think I have updated the bios, however I can't even get the PC to post. I check it out and try, thanks

Okay I am not sure what has happened... At this point the PC boots fine except it doesn't show the splash screen and keeps labelling a POST of
0C (that is: the number zero and the letter C) in the motherboard manual that is marked as "Reserved for future AMI SEC error codes". I really
don't understand what that means so any new advice would be useful... I am yet to try and update the bios, or find out which version I am on... if anyone could suggest how to update the bios that would also be helpful.... Thanks
