Hi, any suggestion how to get my g.skill trident z rgb 2x8gb 4000MHz go more than 3400MHz?

I have tried xmp profiles, manually tweak timings and voltages. Anything over 3400MHz and my computer boots to safe mode and back to bios. Pc tries about 3-4 times, couple of seconds and then shut down and safe mode.

I did have same problem with my HyperX Predator memory 4000MHz. Anything over 3400MHz is no go.

I have lates bios. Motherboard supports those memory*

I have tried bios at default and then xmp and with oc, but nothing changes.

Im out of ideas.*

Can you state the model number of the kit, please?

2 DIMM kits on a 4 DIMM topology board won't overclock as well as having all slots populated.

Try a combination of the following:

1. Maximus Tweak Modes 1 & 2

2. XMP Profile 1 & 2

3. Tuning VCCSA and VCCIO voltages manually. for 4K try in the region of 1.2 and 1.35v
13900KS / 8000 CAS36 / ROG APEX Z790 / ROG TUF RTX 4090

Did not know that only 2 dimms can be problem. I have had always 4 dimm slot mobo and used only 2 of them. But those times i did have only 3200MHz kits and different mobo.

Well i dont need more than 16gb memory and *another 355e for memory kit is not woth it.

I have tried with different slots and different voltages. And both xmp 1 and 2. Tweak mode 2 is something that i have not tried yet.

Is it possible to cause same problem if i put too much voltage for vccio or vccsa?*
