Maximus V Gene Won't Boot Past ROG Splash screen

I'm experiencing intermittent freezing (won't boot past ROG splash screen) when I switch on the Maximus V Gene and I have no idea where or how to troubleshoot this annoying issue. Usually when this happens I hit the restart button and the second boot always works. It's running the last known BIOS, has 4 drives attached to it (SSD x 2, HDD x 2).

Appreciate any tips you may have.

Maybe check OS disk is first in boot priority in BIOS?...or "Windows boot manager" if that option is there
