Maximus ix hero / i7 7700k : Memory tweaking?

Hello guys! I'm new at the forum :-)*
I have a few questions?

I have the asus maximus ix hero board with the 7700k.
I have 32gb of ddr4 ( 2x16gb 3000mhz c15 corsair lpx memory)

System is very stable with everything on auto,
(memeory at 2133) but when i choose
xmp profile in bios the system isn't very stable...
I want the memory to run at its xmp speeds but i don't really want to oc the cpu.

The latest bios version is installed...

Is there a way this will work or do i need to oc the processor?
If yes tell me how please... I'm new at oc'ing...*

Hi SKoTN_

Welcome to the ROG forum.

The first thing to try on the extreme tweaker tab is enable XMP, then go to Dram Timing Control and at the very top, try Maximus Tweak Modes 1 and 2, F10 and Enter.

Maximus Tweak Mode 1 - Helps with compatibility
Maximus Tweak Mode 2 - Helps with overclocking

If neither of those help, on the extreme tweaker tab set the cpu system agent voltage to 1.15v and the cpu vccio voltage to 1.15v, F10 and Enter.

If it still doesn't go try the cpu system agent voltage at 1.20v and cpu vccio voltage at 1.20v, F10 and Enter.

Give us an update after trying this.
