Depends on your cooling. Best to keep temps under 85c for day to day use. I'd say 1.4v is the limit regardless of cooling if you are concerned about long life. I recommend to most to just get the best clock possible at 1.35v for daily usage. The last 100mhz isn't worth the heat you might gain from moving from 1.35v to 1.4v. For benching 1.4v is just fine.
Exactly...I always a pick a Max voltage...around 1.35v and work towards that....you'll find most Chips will hit a wall ...anything higher will require significantly higher voltage (now youre in the realm of returns not being worth it).......
