Loss of raid set after BIOS update.

I have had some problems with my computer, it won't shut down when I turn it off in windows. Then I chose to update BIOS from version 4502 to the latest 4608 and now
my Raid 5 set on Intel controller is gone.
What can i do I'm in a stage of panic:(
The Intel ® Rapid Storage technology also won't worke anymore. The whole idea with raid 5 was that there should be backup, what can I do?

The motherboard is a P9X79 PRO. I'm running Win 7 64 bit and the raid set is 3 x 1T HDD.

I don''t get any error message, but there is no boot screen to the raid menu before Windows is booting up (in the BIOS).
Everything starts up as normal, besides the missing boot screen to the raid
menu in BIOS. It looks like the BIOS has been reset to default.

Windows is on a different disk and works fine (not on the raid set).
All my programs is on its own disk and work fine too.
on the raid 5 set is approx. 1.5 T data either applications or windows ...

There in no error message at start up.
The Intel ® Rapid storage technology program don''t work any more and therefore can''t show any error massage.

Have you tried flashing the BIOS back to 4502 and reloading your BIOS profile (if you saved one)?

Also BIOS doesn't provide backup as such, it provides resilience in the event of a disk failing.

Hello

After the BIOS update did you set the Intel controller back to RAID mode? Also, a RAID array is not a substitute for a proper backup of important data.

When I change it back to RAID in BIOS Windows won't boot, not even in safe mode. The raid menu at bootup says the Raid volume has failed and that there's only one member disk. Pleas help...
