Looking for a cheap, quiet heatsink fan

Right now I'm running an AMD FX-4100 OC'd to 4.0GHz. On stock cooling, it has never gotten higher than 64c, and while gaming (Crysis 3), it stays around 55c. The recommended max temp. is 70c, so I'm fairly happy with the temps. However, the fan has this annoying whirring sound that is constant no matter what the RPM is. So as the title of this thread says, I'm looking for a cheap (<$20), but quiet heatsink fan. What are your recommendations? Note, it doesn't have to be "silent", just quieter. If you need to know any other information please ask. Also, if you know ways to make case fans quieter, please share. Thanks 🙂

Arctic Cooling F12 PWM, pretty cheap, and very quiet. But what are the dimensions of your stock fan? 120 mm? And how is it fitted to your stock cooler? Will a standard sized/shaped fan cage fit? I´m just thinking of these round Intel stock coolers with specially designed fan cages to fit over the heatsink. As you see, I´m not familiar with AMD, but I hope the above mentioned conciderations will help you make the right choise.

I will check it out. It's 80mm and it is square shaped and probably 3.5in. tall approx. Is it possible to replace just the fan?

Do you need a new heatsink or just a new fan on your existent heatsink?

If you're on the stock cooler the CPU came with, perhaps is better to change it... get a new heatsink with fan(s) included...

I would actually invest in a very good cooler, as those temps you mentioned are too high for me... - but, hey, it's up to you...

I am considering a new one altogether but I am also considering just replacing the fan. If I gamed a lot I would want the temps lower, but I only do occasionally and when I'm not gaming it idles at 30c.
