Liquid Cooling help needed

Hey guys, i've been spending the last couple of weeks, on and off, trying to put together a liquid setup for my eventual test bench. Parts so far as follows:

Rad: HWLabs GTX BlackICE 360mm http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=15730
CPU Block: Depends on who I can source one from, will be sitting on my 4170
Fittings: Monsoon Free Centre Compression Fittings Red 6pack x2: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=21467
Tubing: Primochill Primoflex Advanced LRT Red 10FT: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=22154
Fans for Rad: Scythe 120mm Ultra Kaze 3000 RPM x6: http://www.megabuy.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=103166&ref=ShopBot

Of course there will be a VRM/NB block purchased, if I can find someone who sells them, but, I have a question. I noticed this http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=14351 can this be used as an actual reservoir, or is this just a fancy little housing for a D5 pump? I know it says res for the pump...but is it actually a res or not?

I had also looked at getting this 2-in-1 Res/Dual D5 pump set http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=207_160_299&products_id=21256 but it's for a dual bay and i'm not sure how easy it would be to mount one of these to a flat surface and have it look like it actually belongs lol.

Anyway any answers would be greatly appreciated...if any 😛

Cheers

Hey Myk....your ManCave is going to get noisy! But your CPU is going to be cool!

Yes that res is a... well, ummm a res.... just like a direct bolt on one!

The second, you can mount where you normally would the DVD player and such....I have a res like that. With two D5s you have backup if one of them fails and they'd be powerful enough to run a jacuzzi if they're both turned up full 😄

They do have the mounting thought out for the drive bays though; so, fixing them on a flat surface would need sticky something or other...or brackets...

Haha hell yeah it's gonna get noisy mate!!! but that's fine with me, since it's a test bench and not a 24/7 rig 😛

I thought it was a res...but it's so damn tiny lol 😛 and yeah, it does say it comes with a handcuff backet  whatever that is lmao

Done some looking around, it seems a lot of shops here in Aus are stocking less and less AMD LC gear...which is very annoying to say the least...but, I did manage to find this block for my CPU: http://www.thekoolroom.com/product/raystorm-amd/

And, if this kit comes to Aus NB/VRMs & SB Blocks: http://www.thekoolroom.com/product/heatkiller-mb-set-asus-crosshair-v/

Anyone here who can tell me what XSPC blocks are like please? and anyone used WaterCool products also?

Quick question guys - can I put my CPU/VRM's/NB & SB all in the same loop off a single 360, or should I either get a bigger rad...or split into 2 loops? I probably won't put the 560 under water.

hi man, i suppose budget has allot to do with it, i have 2 480 rads and two pumps in series with a external
rad enclosure, as i wanted great performance with minimum noise, my typhoon fans running at 800 rpm,
only have cpu and vrm under water at the minute will be putting my two 680's under water soon
a couple of links for ya
http://skinneelabs.com/water-cooling-radiators/2011-2012-radiator-review/
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/swmc12vdcpu.html
those are the pumps i have one of them i have had for atleast 2 years, and still works great, the rez do work well,
http://www.ekwb.com/shop/reservoirs-and-acc/reservoirs/ek-bay-spin-reservoir-acetal-csq.html
thats similar to the rez i have
also have to consider tubing, i have 1/2ID 3/4 OD, i've read allot of user's are now turning to 7/16 ID as it bends tighter
, easier to work with and almost no difference in performance
i have bought allot from sidewinder computers, Gary there is awesome and very helpfull
i cant seem to find it now, but have to consider how much heat, watts, you are going to produce and then work
out how big your rad has to be, one more link,

good luck m8, water cooling can be expensive but cool 😛

is a combo pump and res a solution? not thinking bay res but pump whit a 160 res on top for example??
mabye like this one?? -> http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=207_160_1285&products_id=22332 ( pump and pump top and fittings is extra )
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/image/16077/ex-res-370.jpg/ex-res-370/Bitspower_Dual_Single_D5_Top...
and i guess the option is there to change out the "tube" whit a larger one so you can have more coolant in the res.

There are combos available found on web. However the design is mainly used for two components (CPU and one GPU) only, not for 5 (In extreme case).

For some reasons, I am currently considering the pre-made first. Normally, it may be a bad idea, but the lifespan...!
