Ok so now with a little more knowledge on this OC stuff, I have decided to post up some of my successes, but mostly failures....lol

Ok first off the rigs, so people know about them.

Gaming

Asus Sabertooth X79
i7 3930k @4.7GHz
Corsair H100
32GB Patriot Viper DDR3-1866
Asus GTX 580
OCZ 120GB Vertex 3 (os)
OCZ 120GB Vertex 3 (Games/Programs)
OCZ 120GB Vertex 3 Cached with a 2TB WD Cavier Green HHD
300GB WD HHD
Seasonic X760

24/7 Rig

Asus Maximus lV Extreme
i7 2600k @ 4.1GHz
Antec Kuhler 920
16GB GSkill RipJaw DDR3-1333
EVGA GTX 550 (2GB)
OCZ 240GB Vertex 3 (os/programs)
2TB WD Cavier Green HHD
1050w PSU - Enermax?

So I was told not to use the AI suite crap and use CPUID. I have that installed on both rigs now and I also got the 64-bit Prime95.

I was worried about the 24/7 rig as I bought it off a guy used. He said it wont boot and come to find out it was a bad stick of RAM. Replaced and OC'c it to 4.6GHz at first, then backed it off to 4.1GHz and it has been solid, and running Prime95 right now and core temps are around 65'C and Socket at 47'C.

I was at first confident in the Gaming Rig at 4.7GHz because of the fact I never got BSOD of frezze ups, except from a bad SSD. It would run games no problems, but I should have known this doesn't make it stable.

I installed Prime95 and tried to run that.

No go......lol

BSOD before it even started any test....lol

Sombitch, now I have to figure this out.....

All 32GB is present.
Your overclock is 4.6GHz
Your memory is running at 2100MHz

Looking good.

CPUz is more up todate I am sure, with version of Siw are you using?

2011.10.29c is SIW......

Why does slots 6-8 not show anything? The old sticks all came up before.....

So the Siw software was released before the X79 platform was available - ignore that software for now.

All your sticks are showing in the total memory. Not sure what else is important.

Thats what I thought. Being able to burn test @ 30100MB for 8hrs stable was telling me that. Just wanted a second opinion.

Thanks!

Now once the second set of fans for the p/p on the H100 come in this week, I am going to try for 4.7-.8 stable with temps under 85'C. I am not too sure if my cooling will do it.....

Can anyone chime in on my temps. This is one burn pass on intelburn at maximum.

Too high? Using H100.....

Ok so I remounted the water-block of the H-100 with some MX-4. The pervious mounting looked ok as in being even across the chip, but I have read great reviews of theis TC.

I also watched JJ video on the X79 and set my BOIS pretty much the way he has, and now am tweaking it Test Stable.

I also have ditched the Intelburn stuff and got AIDA64. This program I find much better and indepth than other I have used.

So far I have had to increase my Vcore volt to 1.435 and Dram to 1.70 (leaving timings alone at this point) and only getting about 30sec of test before BSOD.

If I increase my Dram voltage any higher than 1.70 I get a stop error of 101. If I leave it at 1.70 I get a stop error of 124.

I am going to keep increasing the Vcore, but don't want go too high.

What else should I be looking at changing to make this TEST stable. It runs just fine with multiple programs open and also me playing BF3 with no BSOD.

Mate based on what you have said your system is then stable. It does all the things you need it to do with out crashing, not so? Consider it stable.
