Is it a good idea to uninstall Power4Hybrid utility?

hi,

i use ASUS S46C ultrabook with windows 8 basic. Since recently i had power issues, such as not displaying the warning messages when the power is low and dodgy readings of the power meter. so i have uninstalled the power4hybrid app. now the power is totally managed by windows 8. I want to know the following:

1. i do NOT play with my laptop, and mostly use for software development. by uninstalling Power4Hybrid app, could cause any damages to the system?

2. What is power4hybrid does? does it increase something in my system? does it help to stabilize or increase the health of my laptop / or battery?

The best thing I can suggest is to play around with the settings and find out what works for you. I kept it on my daughters system.
