hi there

yesterday, 30/9/2015, i heard a shocking news that ... intel announced pc user dont use 1.5V DDR3 with skylake cpu

as the memory controller in cpu will demage .

however, if this news is real issue , why asus official is support DDR3 1.5V or 1.65V ram module?

second, i checked the bios , it shows system agent voltage is around 1.056V

is the system agen voltage is related to cpu internal memory controller voltage?

if so , whether the 1.056V value is a default voltage of cpu internal memory controller voltage?

anyone can help?

Hello

Below is what Intel replied. The rest are assumptions and opinions of the website.

Skylake's IMC officially supports only DDR3L with a voltage of 1.35, and it officially supports DDR4 at 1.2 V.

hi there

are there anyone know that

the intel skylake IMC default voltage is equal to cpu system agent voltage shows in the bios ???

any one know that??

super thanks?

Hello

At default settings SA voltage is set as programmed by Intel. If left on auto it will scale as other related settings are changed maintaining a voltage found to be needed when sampling a large number of CPUs.
